Hot Honey Sesame Salmon
salmon sandwiches are not only so juicy and tasty, they are also very easy to make and can be enjoyed as #girldinner or a quick lunch. you don't want to miss this delicious recipe.
My stove is always on, so the air fryer saves me on many days when there’s a cake in the oven but I need to feed myself before I faint. Air-frying has become one of my favorite ways to cook salmon because it’s foolproof and so easy for clean up and quick meal prepping.
I like to brush with grapeseed oil and season the salmon while the air fryer is preheating, and then make the sauce while the salmon is cooking. The sauce is very simple and includes fresh garlic, sesame seeds, hot honey, and a few dashes of soy sauce.
What You Need:
2 Salmon Filets, trust you’re going to want more than one piece lol
1 tbsp of Grapeseed Oil, save 2 tsp for the sauce
½ tsp of Smoked Paprika
Kosher Salt, to taste.
Black Pepper, to taste.
2 tsp of Butter
2 Garlic Cloves, minced.
4 tbsp of Hot Honey, you can also use regular honey but this just adds some rizz.
3 tsp of Soy Sauce
2 tsp of Sesame Seeds
Cilantro, for garnish. you can use fresh parsley or nothing.
Note: I like to make a spicy mayo for the sandwich with kewpie mayo, hot sauce, and smoked paprika. It’s perfect and simple!
What to Do:
Preheat air fryer at 375F for 2 minutes. During this time, pat the salmon filets before brushing with oil and seasoning.
Brush salmon with grapeseed oil and season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Air fry salmon at 375F for 8 minutes. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the sauce.
In a medium skillet or cast iron, melt butter over medium heat and add garlic. Saute until the garlic is fragrant. Don’t burn it!
Add hot honey, soy sauce, and sesame seeds to the sauteed garlic and allow to simmer for 2 minutes. The sauce will begin to thicken.
Once the salmon is complete, remove it from the air fryer and brush the sauce on the salmon before enjoying it with your favorite dinner sides or making the featured sandwiches.
